Zeblaze Vibe 7 vs Vibe 7 Pro: Is The Pro Version Really Better?

I have the new rugged smartwatches from Zeblaze Company called Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro. The Pro version is the latest 2023 model with some improvements, in particular, the display.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has AMOLED screen with Always-On mode, 466 x 466 pixels resolution and 1000 nits maximum brightness.

For comparison, Zeblaze Vibe 7 has IPS display with 360 x 360 pixels resolution.

Let’s do a full comparison of the new Zeblaze smartwatches side by side.

By the way, the price of Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro is about the same $40, which makes this comparison even more interesting.

Unboxing

So, the boxes of the new smartwatches have similar design.

The main features of Zeblaze Vibe 7 are make and receive calls, 24 hours health management, multiple sport modes and ultra-long battery life.

As for the Pro model, it has the same features, but the main improvement is Ultra HD AMOLED display.

The contents of the packages are the same, such as the watch, strap, magnetic charging cable and user manual.

Design

You know, at first glance, Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro look similar, but they have many differences.

Both of them are rugged smartwatches, but the Pro version has a full metal body, while Zeblaze Vibe 7 comes with only a metal bezel. The side faces are plastic.

The new smartwatches also have different waterproof ratings. Zeblaze Vibe 7 has IP68 water protection, but Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has 3ATM and IP69K water resistance.

It means that you can dive in water to a depth of up to 30 meters with Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro. As for the Zeblaze Vibe 7, it is better not to immerse the watch in deep water, but it is still not afraid of shower, rain or sweat.

The manufacturer says that the smartwatches are shock resistant.

The back of the new watches have different sensors as well as magnetic charging contacts. You cannot use a magnetic charging cable of Zeblaze Vibe 7 with Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro, and vice versa.

However, the straps have the same width of 22mm, so you can swap them around, or buy any other strap of the same width.

By the way, the straps from the package are silicone, and they are very comfortable.

There are two physical buttons on the side of Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro, but they have different functions.

You can press the Open button on Zeblaze Vibe 7 to turn on/off the screen, and Down button to change the widgets, such as daily activity, phone calls, health measurements, weather forecast, remote camera, music player and breathe.

As for Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro, you can press the Start button to wake up the watch, and press it again to enter the menu with all apps. The double press on the Start button changes the menu style.

The Back button just turns the screen on and off, and returns to the main watch face when you have used any function.

To be honest, I like the physical buttons control of Zeblaze Vibe 7 more, because you can quickly switch between the main functions.

Screen

So, if we look at the watches next to each other, we can see that Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has a larger dial. This is because it has a display diagonal of 1.41-inches, while Zeblaze Vibe 7 has 1.39-inch screen. The bezel thickness is about the same.

Actually, the display is the main improvement of the Pro version, because it has higher resolution of 466 by 466 pixels, AMOLED panel and up to 1000 nit brightness.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 has 360 by 360 pixels resolution and IPS panel.

We can really see that the screen of Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro is much brighter than Zeblaze Vibe 7. Moreover, I think Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has the best screen among the budget watches that I tested. It is amazing for $40 smartwatch.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 doesn’t have Always-On display, because it comes with IPS panel.

So far, the Pro version of the new Zeblaze smartwatch looks much better.

Now, let’s talk about the functions.

Functions

You know, Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro have not only different design and display, but also interface.

Looking at the quick settings menus, which one do you like more? I think you will agree with me that Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro looks much better.

However, the functions are about the same, such as phone calls, vibration, do not disturb mode, screen brightness and settings menu.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro also has flashlight and battery saving mode.

Then, you can swipe up from the main dial to see the new notifications.

I have already showed you the widgets of Zeblaze Vibe 7, such as daily activity, phone calls, health measurement, weather, remote camera, music player and breathe.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro also has widgets, such as daily activity, heart rate and sleep monitor, weather, music player, and sport modes. You can also edit the functions, for example, remove some of them or change their order.

In the main menu of Zeblaze Vibe 7, we can find steps, sleep, measure heart rate, exercise, phone, blood pressure, weather, shutter, player, breathe and settings.

The menu of Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has telephone, contact person, call records, voice assistant, data, workout, workout records, heart rate sleep, blood oxygen, messages, weather, female, music, breathe training, stopwatch, timer, alarm clock, set time, find phone and settings.

It looks like Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has more functions, but Zeblaze Vibe 7 also has stopwatch, alarm, timer, games, theater mode, and some other functions in the settings.

The settings menu of Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro include menu style, display, battery, vibration intensity, language, QR Code, set time and system.

In the display settings, we can choose a watch face, change brightness, screen time, raise to wake, and always-on display.

In the battery menu, we can see the current battery level and power saving mode.

By the way, Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro have more than 100 sport modes, such as walking, running, cycling, etc.

So, I don’t know about you, but the look and the functions of Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro are better for me. I think it is because of the amazing AMOLED display.

Battery

Talking about battery, Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro is a little bigger than Zeblaze Vibe 7, but they both have 400mAh capacity.

The battery life is about the same – from 25 to 30 days in a typical usage mode, and about 15 days in a heavy usage mode.

Heart rate, Blood pressure

Now I want to do an experiment and measure the heart rate and blood oxygen on both smartwatches.

So, the heart rate level on Zeblaze Vibe 7 is 72 bpm, while Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro tells about 75 bpm.

The blood oxygen is 97% on Zeblaze Vibe 7, and 97% on Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro.

So, the smartwatches have about the same health measurement results.

Bluetooth Calling

Another important function of the new smartwatches is Bluetooth calling. You can make and receive the phone calls on the smartwatches.

When somebody calls you on the smartphone, you see the contact name on the watch, and you can accept or reject the call.

However, before using this function, you need to connect a smartwatch to the smartphone through the app.

App

Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro have different companion apps.

It is called Da Fit for Zeblaze Vibe 7, and FitCloudPro for Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro.

On the Home page of the apps, we can see the steps, calories, and distance for the day, as well as sleep information, heart rate, spO2, blood pressure.

On the Device page of Zeblaze Vibe 7, we can see the connected status, battery level and the image of smartwatch.

In the app of Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro, there is also connected status and battery level, but no image of smartwatch.

You can upload the new watch faces on both smartwatches. There are more than 100 watch faces available.

In general, the functions in the apps are about the same on the new Zeblaze watches, such as notifications, alarms, favorite contacts, weather, automatic heart rate monitor, etc.

Conclusion

So, Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro are very different smartwatches.

They are about the same price of $40, but Zeblaze Vibe 7 Pro has a bigger display with very high brightness of 1000 nits, and AMOLED panel with Always-on Display mode.

Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro are both rugged watches, but the Pro version has 3ATM and IP69K waterproof ratings.

Overall, the interface of the Pro model looks much better.

However, as for the functions, battery and mobile apps, they are very similar. The smartwatches have up to 30 days of battery life, Bluetooth calling, many sport modes and watch faces, heart rate, blood pressure, sleep monitors, and other useful functions.

So, if you choose from Zeblaze Vibe 7 and Vibe 7 Pro, then the Pro version is definitely better. In fact, it is the best smartwatch under $50 that I have tested. I really like it.
