Last week, we made a review of the soundbar, but I know that many people prefer to use wireless headphones to listen to music, watch movies, and play games. Moreover, you can use the headphones not only at home but also at any other place. There are many advantages of headphones over the computer speaker or soundbar.
To be honest, I cannot imagine the modern wireless headphones without active noise cancellation. In this article, we will talk about one of them. SuperEQ S1 Bluetooth headphones have hybrid noise cancellation, ambient or transparency mode, five built-in CVC 6.0 microphones, and 45 hours of playtime.
By the way, SuperEQ is OneOdio’s brand. Most likely, you know about OneOdio, because they produce professional headphones. It looks like the new brand SuperEQ releases the headphones for a young audience because their products have bright colors. They even have a slogan – Be Young, Be Free.

Unboxing
The box of SuperEQ S1 headphones also suggests that this product is for a young audience because it is made in bright colors.
On the back of the box, we can read the specifications of headphones and package contents.
Inside the box, we have a carry pouch, headphones, USB charging cable, 3.5mm audio cable, an airplane adapter, and a user manual.
By the way, there is a big SuperEQ logo and the inscription of a 24-month warranty on the pouch. Why is it here? I don’t know.
Design
As you can see, SuperEQ S1 is a folding headphone. The size when folded is only 170 x 120 x 80 mm.
When unfolded, the headphones are 170 by 180 by 80 mm.
The weight of them is 280 grams.
I have a black version of the headphones, but also they are available in white color. The headband is red in both versions. By the way, a headband is also adjustable.
It looks like this part is made of metal, so the headphones are durable.
I have already told you the slogan of the brand, but if you forgot it, then it is located on the headband – Be Young, Be Free.
We can also see the name of the headphones on the inside – SuperEQ S1.
You know, the headphones are quite flexible. This is another proof that they are durable.
The ear cups are soft, and they have memory foam padding. However, it looks like you cannot remove them.
I also noticed that ear cups fit my ears perfectly. Even without active noise cancellation, the headphones cancel out the noise well.
All the control buttons are located on the right ear cup. We have an ANC button, as well as volume up/down and power buttons. There is also microUSB charging port, 3.5mm audio jack, and LED indicator.
The manufacturer says that SuperEQ S1 headphones are equipped with five microphones. However, I found only three of them. One is located at the bottom of the right ear cup. The second and the third noise cancelling microphones are at the top of the right and left ear cups.
Now, let’s talk about the control functions.
Control Functions
First, you can press on ANC button to turn on ANC. Another press on the same button changes to Ambient Sound mode. If you want to turn off ANC, then press the button and hold for about 2 seconds.
The power button can be used to power on/off the headphones, and to enter pairing mode.
The single press on the volume up button increases the volume, and a single press on the volume down button decreases the volume.
You can also press and hold for about 2 seconds on the volume up or down buttons to play the next or previous track.
Finally, you can press on the power button to answer the phone call. The long press for about 2 seconds on the power button rejects the phone call.
If we started talking about phone calls, let’s check the microphone quality.
Microphone Quality
Hey, guys! Now I am talking to you through the microphone of SuperEQ S1 headphones. I want to recall you that these headphones are equipped with five microphone and CVC 6.0 noise reduction technology. Do you hear me well? Write in the comments below.
Sound Quality
As for the sound quality, first, I want to point that the difference between ANC on, ANC off, and Transparency mode is really noticeable.
I already said that ear cups of these headphones are very tight, so the noise isolation is very high. Even with ANC off, you can barely hear the noise around you.
However, you can turn on Transparency Mode or Ambient Sound, and then you will hear what is happening around you.
Using active noise cancellation, you are like in a vacuum. You only hear the sound that comes from the headphones.
The sound quality of SuperEQ S1 headphones is just OK. I cannot say it is amazing, because I think there is too much bass. I like when the vocals are clear, but here they are a little blurred because of the deep bass.
Overall, the sound is not bad for listening to most genres of music.
Battery
The new headphones are equipped with a 380mAh battery.
The manufacturer promises 50 hours of battery life with ANC only, but without Bluetooth connection to a smartphone.
The using time with Bluetooth connection is about 45 hours, but ANC off.
If you want to listen to music and use ANC, then you can expect about 40 hours of battery life.
Even if the battery of SuperEQ S1 headphones is dead, you can use a 3.5mm audio jack to connect the headphones to your smartphone and continue using them. That’s very good.
Conclusion
By the way, I forgot to tell you about some other specs of the headphones, such as Bluetooth 5.0 version, 10 meters of Bluetooth range, 40mm speaker diameter, and up to 33db noise reduction depth.
So, SuperEQ S1 are very interesting headphones, and they are definitely worth your attention. I will leave the purchase link to Amazon below.
