Today I want to tell you about another new device from Xiaomi under the Redmi brand. This is the new Redmi Display 1A. I am very interested in this monitor because it is very cheap – only $83.
So, let’s talk about the main features of Display 1A, and find out why is it so cheap.
Design
Xiaomi has already released some monitors, but Display 1A is the first monitor under the Redmi brand.
The new display from Redmi has a 23.8-inch diagonal and Full HD resolution. This is an LCD IPS panel.
The manufacturer says that the thickness of the monitor in the thinnest place is only 7.3mm.
As you can see, the monitor is almost bezel-less from three sides, except for the bottom one. It means that you can buy two or even three monitors and put them next to each other. You will not see the seams between them. This is awesome.
On the back, there is only HDMI port, VGA port, DC connector, and power button. The monitor doesn’t offer any USB ports.
Specifications
OK, now let’s talk about specifications. As I already said, the display has a diagonal of 23.8 inches and Full HD resolution. The maximum brightness is 250 nits, and the contrast is 1000:1. The viewing angle is 178 degrees.
You should also know about response time – 6 ms, and refresh rate – 60 Hz.
The Chinese manufacturer says the new monitor uses Low Blue Light technology that reduces the strain on the eyes during long use.
Price and Buy
As I already said, the price of Redmi Display 1A is only $83 in China. If you decide to buy it on Aliexpress, GearBest, and other Chinese stores, then most likely it will cost more.
Although Redmi Display 1A has entry-level specifications, this is one of the cheapest PC monitors on the market.
I like the idea of buying two or even three monitors and using them together. A bezel-less display allows you to do this.
