Realme C55 vs Tecno Spark 10 Pro: What Budget Smartphone To Buy in 2023?

We haven’t compared smartphones on our channel Tech Brothers in a while, but today I came across two new budget mobile devices. They are Tecno Spark 10 Pro and Realme C55.

I would like to compare these smartphones because they are from the same price range, and they have similar specifications, such as processor, battery, etc.

So, which smartphone is better to buy in 2023? Let’s find out.

Design

You know, both new smartphones from Tecno and Realme look very nice. They have flat edges and a shiny rear panel.

However, Tecno Spark 10 Pro is the first company’s smartphone with a glass back panel. I don’t know why there are so few mobiles devices with glass rear panels in 2023, but I really like it in my iPhone, and I am glad a new budget smartphone from Tecno has this feature.

The back panel of Realme C55 also shimmers, but it is made of plastic.

By the way, Tecno Spark 10 Pro is available in pearl white and starry black colors, while you can choose the new Realme device in sunshower or rainy night colors.

If we talk about size, the Tecno smartphone is a little bigger because of the larger screen diagonal. It is also heavier. I think because of the glass back panel.

You should also know that Realme C55 and Tecno Spark 10 Pro have USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, dual SIM and dedicated slot for microSD memory card.

By the way, the fingerprint reader is placed on the side of both smartphones.

To be honest, it is very difficult to choose which smartphone I like better, because they are very similar, but I think it will be Tecno Spark 10 Pro because of the glass back panel.

As I already said, the new Tecno smartphone has a larger screen diagonal of 6.8 inches, while Realme C55 comes with 6.72-inch display.

Both of them have Full HD+ resolution, IPS LCD panels and 90Hz screen refresh rate.

I said at the beginning of the article that the new Realme and Tecno smartphones have similar specifications. The chipset is one of them. The mobile devices are powered by Helio G88.

However, the performance also depends on the software and memory.

Realme C55 offers more memory options. You can choose 4, 6 or 8GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256GB of built-in storage.

Tecno Spark 10 Pro is only available in 8GB of RAM version, but you can choose from 128 or 256GB of built-in memory.

The smartphones have dedicated slot for microSD memory card.

You know, software is also very important for performance. The new Realme and Tecno mobile devices run on the same Android 13 operating system, but they have different user interfaces.

Realme C55 has the Realme UI 4.0, while Tecno Spark 10 Pro comes with HiOS 12.6.

The user interfaces offers many useful functions, and both of them work quickly and smoothly enough.

It seems that the main difference between Tecno Spark 10 Pro and Realme C55 is the cameras.

The new Realme smartphone has 64MP main sensor and 2MP depth sensor on the rear panel.

The Tecno mobile device has 50MP dual main camera. Unfortunately, we don’t the resolution and purpose of the second sensor on the rear panel. I think it is also 2MP macro or depth sensor.

You know, one of the main features of Tecno Spark 10 Pro is 32MP selfie camera. There is even a dual LED flash on the front panel.

Realme C55 has only 8MP front camera.

Realme C55 and Tecno Spark 10 Pro have the same battery capacity of 5000mAh. However, the advantage of the Realme smartphone is 33W fast charging support.

The new Tecno phone has only 18W charging.

The battery life depends a lot on the software and usage, but I think it will be similar on these smartphones. However, it will take much less time to fully charge the battery of Realme C55.

Now, let’s compare the prices of the new mobile devices.

It looks like Tecno Spark 10 Pro is only available in India now, but I hope it will go on sale on the global market.

The basic version of Tecno smartphone has 8GB of Ram and 128GB of storage, and you can buy it for 12499 Indian rupees or about 150 US dollars.

Realme C55 in the same memory configuration is more expensive – 13499 Indian Rupees or 162 US dollars. However, you can choose a version with less memory, and then the price will be 10999 rupees or 132 dollars.

You know, I don’t think $10 makes much difference, so in my opinion, the new Realme and Tecno smartphones have the same price.
