I have the most unusual wireless speaker on the market! This is Pow Mo. The main features of this speaker are an expandable design, universal magnetic mount, and magnetic wallet.

Unboxing

POW Mo speaker comes in this box.

On the front, we can see that this is an expandable wireless speaker and how it looks like. On the back, there is the image of the speaker in the expanded state.

The main features are on the side face, such as stick anywhere, pop-up power, and stereo sync.

On the top of the box, there is information about the magnetic mount, USB C charging port, 8 hours of playtime, stereo sync, and Bluetooth 4.2.

OK, let’s open the box. Here is the speaker itself, magnetic mount, and wallet. There is also a user manual and even a sticker in the wallet.

Of course, you will get a USB C charging cable. That’s all!

You know, the first impressions from this speaker are very good. To be honest, I was reminded of the first impressions from the unboxing of Apple products. Everything has been thought out in detail, including even a sticker with the company logo.

Design

So, the Pow MO speaker looks like this. As you can see, it is very compact when folded.

The size is only 110 by 60 by 35 mm.

The weight is 265 grams.

However, you can expand the speaker, and it will be 60 mm.

For comparison, this is my iPhone 12 and Pow Mo speaker. 

You can easily carry the speaker in jeans pocket, of course, when it is folded.

On the right side, there is a USB Type-C port, power button, and Bluetooth button. You can also see a hole on the other side to blow air out when you fold the speaker.

By the way, I have to show you how to expand the speaker. First, you need to hold the speaker in one hand by the base, and using the other hand, pull on one side of the speaker. After that, pull on the other side.

To be honest, it was not easy for the first time. But now I can do this without any problems.

On the back, the speaker has four magnets. You can attach this device to any metal surface, for example, to a fridge, car body, etc.

The speaker can also be attached to the smartphone, but first, you need to stick the mount to the back cover of a mobile device.

As I already said, there is also a magnet wallet in the package. You can attach it to the back of the smartphone instead of the speaker.

So, the Pow Mo speaker is a very interesting device. I have never seen anything like this before. But, most of all, it is a speaker, so let’s listen to music and check the sound quality.

Sound quality

POW MO speaker uses its own audio patented technology called Wavebloom.

However, first, I want to check the maximum volume level in a collapsed and expanded state.

As you can see, the volume level is about the same, but the sound is very different. When the speaker is expanded, the sound has much better bass. The bass is so powerful that the speaker vibrates.

However, instrumentals and vocal sounds also very good. I think you can listen to any genre of music with this speaker.

Also, you can watch videos and movies. By the way, you can buy two speakers, connect them to each other, and create stereo sound.

Battery

As for the battery, I didn’t find any information about its capacity, but the manufacturer promises 8 hours of playtime on a single charge.

Conclusion

So, POW Mo is a very interesting and unusual wireless speaker. First, it has very good sound quality, especially bass, thanks to Wavebloom technology. Also, the battery life is very long for such a compact speaker.

The other feature of this device is magnets on the back, so you can attach the speaker to any metal surface. You can even attach the speaker to the smartphone, but first, stick the universal mount on the back of the mobile device.

Moreover, you will get not only a wireless speaker but also a wallet. It also uses magnets to attach to the smartphone.

Perhaps, the only drawback of this speaker is that it doesn’t have volume control buttons. If you want to change the volume, then you need to use a smartphone.

However, I think it is not a big problem. POW Mo speaker has many other unique features.
