You most likely know that Oscal is a sub-brand of Blackview. We have a full review of the Oscal Pad 10 tablet. Since we posted that article, the Oscal Pad 13 has been released.
Now, the new Blackview Oscal Pad 15 tablet is ready. It goes on sale today on AliExpress. The price is only $159. However, the first 200 buyers can get it for just $119, as well as a Bluetooth keyboard as a gift.
OK, let’s talk about the main features of the new Oscal Pad 15 tablet, and try to find out its main differences from previous models.

Design
The new tablet has a little bigger screen than its predecessors, but it remains just as thin and light. The thickness of the tablet is only 7.6mm and the weight is 449 grams.
I couldn’t find any information about the body material, so I think it is plastic. The new tablet is available in green and grey colors.
By the way, it’s important to know that the Oscal Pad 15 tablet has various accessories such as protective case, Bluetooth keyboard and even stylus pen. However, they are sold separately.
Display
As I already said, the display of the Oscal Pad 15 has become a bit larger – 10.36 inches. The resolution remains the same – 2K, 1200 by 2000 pixels.
When I tested the Oscal Pad 10, I liked the screen. The new tablet has even higher display resolution, so I think it will be good for entertainment.
By the way, the Oscal Pad 15 has Widevine L1 Support, so you can get access to streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+ and others.
On the official website, we can see 4 big upgrades in Oscal Pad 15. I think the entertainment upgrade is the larger screen. As for the efficiency upgrade, the tablet doesn’t have changes in the hardware.
Hardware
Oscal Pad 15 is powered by Unisoc T606 processor, and it has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
However, when I tested Oscal Pad 10, the tablet had 230,000 points in AnTuTu. The new tablet scores 275,000 points in the same benchmark.
So, the chipset is the same, but the performance is better.
You can also expand RAM up to 16GB, and internal memory up to 512GB with a memory card.
Software
You know, Blackview tablets are known for their software. Oscal Pad 15 runs on DokeOS 3.0 based on the latest Android 13 operating system.
Software can turn this tablet into a laptop. First, you can connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the tablet. Then, you can use a PC mode on a tablet with multiple floating windows.
Next, you need to install the necessary apps from the Google Play Store, for example, Microsoft Office Mobile, and now the tablet is ready for work.
Camera
The next upgrade of the new Oscal Pad 15 tablet is the cameras.
It has a 16MP main camera on the rear panel, and a 13MP front camera. To remind you, the previous Oscal Pad 13 tablet had 13MP main camera and 8MP front camera.
Photos promise to be better quality on the new tablet.
Battery
However, I think the more important improvement of the Oscal Pad 15 is the battery. It has a larger capacity of 8280mAh and 33W fast charging support.
The manufacturer promises 48 hours more of standby time.
Connectivity
Finally, let’s talk about connectivity.
First, you can use dual-band Wi-Fi at home, office, and other places.
However, even if Wi-Fi is not available, the Oscal Pad 15 supports dual 4G LTE on two SIM cards. So, you can even use the tablet to make phone calls.
There are also 4 navigation systems supported in the tablet, such as GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo.
Conclusion
So, despite the same processor, and hardware overall, the new Oscal Pad 15 tablet has better performance than previous models.
The other upgrades include a slightly larger display, better cameras and a bigger battery.
I like that the tablet is getting improved, but the price remains the same. For $159, Oscal Pad 15 is a very good tablet.
