OnePlus 10 Pro vs Xiaomi 12 Pro: Comparison Of Flagships 2022!

The new year has just begun, but some leading manufacturers have already released their flagships.

Design

First, I want to say the OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro have almost the same dimensions because both of them come with a 6.7-inch display. Actually, the screen of Xiaomi 12 Pro is a little bigger – 6.73 inches, but we will talk about it a little later.

The front panel of the new Xiaomi and OnePlus smartphones is also similar. Only the front camera of Xiaomi 12 Pro is located in the center, while the hole for the selfie camera on the OnePlus 10 Pro is in the left top corner.

From other side, the design of the rear cameras is very different. OnePlus and Xiaomi flagships of 2022 have triple cameras, but Xiaomi 12 Pro has a big sensor from the top, and two other cameras with a flashlight under it.

All three sensors and even a flashlight on the OnePlus 10 Pro have the same size. To be honest, I like the design of this smartphone more than Xiaomi. It looks fresh and originally.

Xiaomi 12 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro have a fingerprint reader under the display, stereo speakers, but both of them don’t have a 3.5mm audio jack and memory card slot.

By the way, the new flagships from Xiaomi and OnePlus have rounded frames. I think that’s very good because I don’t like the new trend of flat side faces.

You know, the OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro look similar for me. Yes, they have very different rear cameras design, but the other features are almost the same.

I like the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro more, but maybe you think otherwise.

Design is a very personal choice, so I cannot choose the best smartphone for you in this category. Both of them receive by 1 point each.

Display

As I already said, the new flagships from OnePlus and Xiaomi have almost the same display size: 6.7 and 6.73 inches, respectively.

Moreover, they have the same 1440P resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1B colors support.

Xiaomi 12 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro have the second generation of LTPO technology. It is a similar technology to ProMotion in the latest iPhone 13.

It looks like OnePlus and Xiaomi smartphones have very similar displays. To be honest, I don’t think that you will find any differences between them.

I will give them by one point each again.

Performance

OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro are equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. They are also available in the same versions with 8 or 12GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage.

As I already said, mobile devices don’t have memory card support.

So, the performance of the new OnePlus and Xiaomi flagships is very similar. They have about 1 million scores in AnTuTu. The other benchmark results are also the same.

I think I don’t need to tell you that smartphones don’t have any problems with any games because they are flagships.

Actually, it is a big pleasure to play games on flagship smartphones because they have very good performance and amazing display.

You know, I still cannot choose the best smartphone between the OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro.

Camera

All three sensors on the rear panel of Xiaomi 12 Pro have a resolution of 50MP.

The main sensor is Sony IMX707, while the second sensor is telephoto with 2X optical zoom. The third sensor is 115 degrees wide-angle.

OnePlus 10 Pro has a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3X optical zoom, and 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 150 degrees viewing angle.

On the front, both smartphones have 32MP cameras.

You know, smartphones offer a different experience and even different features in the camera app, but in general, the photo and video quality are very similar.

Once again, I cannot decide which of these smartphones is better.

Battery

The batteries of the OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro have different capacity: 5000 and 4600mAh, respectively.

However, Xiaomi flagship has 120W fast charging support, while the new smartphone from OnePlus comes with an 80W power adapter.

Also, they support 50W wireless charging.

I am shocked by the fact that the full battery charge of Xiaomi 12 Pro takes only 18 minutes.

OnePlus 10 Pro also charges very quickly, but almost twice as long as Xiaomi 12 Pro – 30 minutes.

You know, Xiaomi and OnePlus flagship smartphones are only available in China now. However, I think that global versions will be released very soon.

The Chinese price of the OnePlus 10 Pro starts from $740. The most powerful version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will cost you $834.

As for Xiaomi 12 Pro, the basic version with 8GB of Ram and 128GB of storage starts from $740, while the top-end model is a little more expensive than the OnePlus 10 Pro – $850. However, it is not a big deal.

So, the new flagship smartphones from Xiaomi and OnePlus in 2022 have the same price.

Conclusion

We have compared the design, display, performance, camera, battery, and price of Xiaomi 12 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro, and I still cannot choose the best smartphone from them.

They are very similar, especially, display and performance. The cameras are different, but both of them makes very good photos and videos.

OnePlus 10 Pro has a bigger battery, but Xiaomi 12 Pro supports faster charging.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I cannot choose which smartphone is better.
