Vacuum Cleaner To Deep Clean Your Mattress! JIMMY JV35 REVIEW

We have tested many robot and cordless vacuum cleaners on our channel Tech Brothers, but they are mostly designed for cleaning floors. Furniture accumulates a lot of dust, debris, allergens, and even mites, so you should clean it as often as the floor.

The new vacuum cleaner from JIMMY is designed specifically for cleaning mattresses, sofas, chairs, and other home furniture.

It has a powerful 480W motor, 14,000 Pa suction power, 254nm Ultraviolet-C light and 60 degrees Celsius or 140 degrees Fahrenheit heating technology, three cleaning modes and 6 Grade Cyclonic Filtration.

You know I am allergic to dust and plant blooms, and I also have a cat who sheds a lot, so I would be glad to add a furniture vacuum cleaner to my collection of an air purifier, robot mop, and cordless vacuum cleaner.

But first, we need to test it out and see if it is really good at cleaning furniture. Let’s start by unpacking.

Unboxing

On the box, we can see an image of the vacuum cleaner, which is quite compact. In fact, the JIMMY JV35 is much bigger. We will talk about size and weight a little later.

Some of the vacuum cleaner features are listed on the top of the box, such as big diameter rubber and bristle combination brushroll, fast heating in 5 seconds, and 0.5 liters big capacity dust cup.

Opening the box, we find an envelope with a user manual and cleaning brush, a HEPA filter and the vacuum cleaner.

Design

So, as I said before, the JIMMY JV35 is pretty big and heavy. Its size is 370 x 285 x 220 mm. The weight is 2.7 kg.

However, you shouldn’t be afraid of this because you don’t have to carry the vacuum cleaner in your hands. The principle of this JIMMY vacuum cleaner is to put it, for example, on the bed, and move it slowly back and forth. I will show this in practice a little later.

You should also pay attention to the power cord. The JIMMY JV35 doesn’t have a built-in battery, so you need to plug it into a power source.

This is not a problem at all, because unlike handheld vacuum cleaners that are used to clean the floor around the house, the JIMMY JV35 only cleans the bed or other furniture. It just doesn’t need the battery.

By the way, the length of the power cord is 5 meters.

Talking about the design of the new JIMMY vacuum cleaner, it is only available in this color. However, I really like the combination of gray and blue.

The handle has a comfortable ergonomic shape. There are power and change modes buttons on the handle. The JIMMY JV35 has three cleaning modes, and we can see which one is activated by the light indicators.

The dust cup is on the top of the vacuum cleaner. You can remove it by pressing the Release button. The sticker tells us how to clean the dust cup.

First, you can remove the lid and then take out the HEPA filter. By the way, the vacuum cleaner has two filters included.

After that, you can lift the cyclone cone. Now, just clean it from dust.

You should also know that the HEPA filter, cyclone cone and dust cup are washable.

As I said before, the dust cup has a capacity of 0.5 liters.

You know, the most interesting features of the JIMMY JV35 vacuum cleaner are at the bottom.

First, there is a brushroll here. We need to turn three locks to remove the cover. The vacuum cleaner is equipped 322 with a patented composite brushroll with soft rubber strip and soft hair strip.

I think the brushroll can be removed, but it is not easy to do because of the belt on the side. However, the user manual says that the brushroll is removable for cleaning.

Then we can see the sticker warning about a hot air outlet. The vacuum cleaner uses heating technology to 60 degrees Celsius or 140 degrees Fahrenheit to kill mites and bacteria from furniture, as well as remove moisture.

Finally, the Jimmy JV35 vacuum cleaner is equipped with a 254 nm ultraviolet lamp. It completely destroys mite cells, as well as 99% of mites and bacteria.

Cleaning Modes

By the way, if you don’t want to use UV light, you can select the Vacuum and Tap cleaning mode.

As I said before, the JIMMY JV35 has three cleaning modes.

The first one is Vacuum, Tap and UV.

By pressing the mode button, you can choose the Vacuum and Tap mode.

Another press on the mode button, and the vacuum cleaner goes to Vacuum and UV mode.

So, we have talked about the design, technologies and modes of the JIMMY JV35 vacuum cleaner. Now, let’s check it in practice.

Cleaning Test

First, I want to clean the mattress. I bought it about 4 years ago, and honestly have never cleaned it. Let’s do this now.

As you can see, the dust cup is empty now, and we will look at it after the cleaning.

So, it took me about 5 minutes to go over the mattress, and the dust cup is full of dust, allergens, and mites.

As I said before, the JIMMY vacuum cleaner can be used on any furniture, for example, sofa.

By the way, I cannot see how the UV light works, but it leaves a slight odor that reminds me of hospitals.

As for the heating technology, the warm air is really blown from the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

Noise Level

You should also know that JIMMY JV35 is quite a noisy vacuum cleaner, because it has a high suction power of 14,000 Pa.

The noise level is about 78dB. This is more than handheld vacuum cleaners, but quite normal for a mattress vacuum.

Conclusion

So, my collection of home vacuum cleaners has grown. I used to use a robot vacuum cleaner for floors, a handheld vacuum cleaner for hard-to-reach places, and now I have a vacuum cleaner for furniture.

I believe that cleaning furniture is just as important as cleaning the floors because we spend most of our day in bed, on the couch, chairs and other furniture.

The JIMMY JV35 is good for that, because it has a powerful motor and high suction power, as well as a UV lamp and high temperature for killing mites.
