Greenworks GRV-1010 Full REVIEW: Is This A Good Robot Vacuum Cleaner In 2022?

Unboxing

You know, Greenworks is a budget robot vacuum cleaner, but it has a quite big box.

There is a specifications list on the back of the box, and the main features of the robot vacuum cleaner.

You can also scan a QR code to download the app on a smartphone. We will talk about the app later in this article.

Inside the box, we have a robot vacuum cleaner, charging dock, power adapter, spare side brushes, and spare filter.

There is also a screwdriver to remove the side brushes from a robot vacuum cleaner, and a user manual in the package.

Design

One of the main features of Greenworks GRV-1010 is a big dustbin. It has a capacity of 580ml.

By the way, if you want to open a dustbin, you need to press a button on the side.

As you can see, the dustbin has a pre-filter, foam filter, and the main high-performance filter. You know, it looks like a HEPA filter, but the manufacturer doesn’t call it so.

Greenworks is only a sweeping robot vacuum cleaner. It doesn’t have a mopping function.

There are two physical buttons at the top, such as power and home.

You can press the home button to return a robot vacuum cleaner to the charging base.

A single press on the power button to start cleaning.

A press and hold for 3 seconds on the power button turns on/off the robot vacuum cleaner.

We can also press and hold both buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to reset the Wi-Fi connection.

By the way, there is a Wi-Fi indicator and reset button under the top cover.

Greenworks robot vacuum cleaner has a front infrared sensor and a bumper to avoid collisions.

There are also anti-fall sensors at the bottom of a vacuum cleaner. They are located next to the charging contacts.

We can also see a front guide wheel, two main wheels, two side brushes, and the main brush at the bottom of a robot vacuum cleaner.

The main brush is removable, so we can clean it from hair and other debris.

As you can see, the vacuum cleaner has no radar or camera for smart navigation. However, the manufacturer says that it uses Intelligent Path Planning. We will check it during a cleaning test.

You know, Greenworks robot vacuum cleaner is not very compact, but it is also not very high. The dimensions are 350 by 350 by 70 mm. The height is only 70 mm, so it is good for cleaning under kitchen cabinets and low furniture.

In addition, the manufacturer says that the robot vacuum cleaner is able to climb on carpets up to 17 mm. Greenworks vacuum cleaner had no problems with my carpet.

App

Talking about app support, we have the instruction how to download the app and add a robot vacuum cleaner.

In the app, we can see the status of the vacuum cleaner – it is a standby in my case, cleaning area, cleaning time, and battery power.

There is also a big ON button to start cleaning.

You can also click on Map to see how the robot vacuum cleaner moved during the last cleaning, and the Charge button to return a vacuum cleaner to the charging base.

Greenworks GRV-1010 has four cleaning modes: smart, wall follow, spiral and manual.

We can also set up a schedule for cleaning.

Then, we can change the suction power, look at the cleaning records, seek the robot, check the remaining life of the filter and brushes, change device language, silent mode, and volume settings.

By the way, I like that Greenworks robot vacuum cleaner supports different languages. You can choose English, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Portuguese for voice prompts.

As usual, I have 100 grams of garbage, and the robot vacuum has to collect it.

I started cleaning in the smart mode.

So, the robot vacuum cleaner picked up 100 grams of trash. The cleaning efficiency is 100 %.

Conclusion

The main features of Greenworks GRV-1010 robot vacuum cleaner are the affordable price – only $110, a big dust bin – 570ML, charging base, and auto-recharge, app control.

I also like English voice prompts. They make it clear what the robot vacuum cleaner does – starts cleaning, returns to the charging base, etc.

However, it doesn’t have radar or camera navigation. There is also no mopping function. This is only a sweeping robot vacuum cleaner.

Anyway, I think it is a good robot vacuum cleaner for quick daily cleaning. It is great for collecting dust and hair.
