Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus Full REVIEW: Tablet For Watching Videos!

I have a brand new tablet from Dragon Touch Company. Actually, we have already posted an article about Dragon Touch Max 10 tablet last year, but this is a new Plus version.

Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus has similar specifications to the previous model, but there are some differences, for example, the new tablet has a 135% of sRGB display color gamut and Android 10 operating system.

So, let’s do an unboxing, look at the design, and test the performance of the Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus tablet.

Unboxing

So, on the box of the new Dragon Touch tablet, we can see its main features, such as the 1080P display, Quantum Dot Technology, Eye Care, Octa-core processor, Android 10 OS, and 5000mAh battery.

On the back, there is a specifications list.

Inside the box, there is a tablet itself, a user manual, a power adapter, and a USB Type-C cable.

Display

The manufacturer says that one of the main features of the new Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus tablet is display. It has a diagonal of 10.1 inches and a resolution of Full HD, 1920 by 1200 pixels.

However, the previous Dragon Touch Max 10 tablet has the same screen specifications. The upgrades of the new tablet are 135% of color gamut and low blue light eye care.

The screen has an IPS panel with QLED technology that reduces eye strain.

By the way, the display brightness is 350 cd/m2.

As you can see, the colors of the Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus display are really good. So, probably, this is mostly an entertainment tablet for watching videos. I think that eye care technology makes this tablet very good for children. Do you agree?

Design

Talking about the design of the Dragon Touch tablet, the dimensions are 240 by 165 by 10 mm. The weight is 580 grams.

The tablet has front and rear cameras.

There is also a flashlight next to the camera on the back. The slot for the microSD memory card is located on the rear panel.

Unfortunately, Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus doesn’t support SIM card.

The new tablet has a USB Type-C port for charging, a 3.5mm audio jack, a power button, volume up and down.

The dual speaker is on the bottom.

In general, Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus tablet has a good build quality. The body is made of plastic, but it is nice to touch.

Specifications

This is a budget tablet of about $160, so it has entry-level hardware. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and it is OK. You can also use a microSD memory card.

However, the chipset is quite weak. The tablet is equipped with Unisoc SC9863A.

By the way, the previous Dragon Touch Max 10 tablet has the same processor.

However, the main problem of this tablet for me is that there is only a Wi-Fi version. You cannot insert a SIM card or use eSIM to get access to the internet without Wi-Fi.

From other side, it is good that Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus supports 2.4 and 5GHz Wi-Fi.

I said that the new tablet from Dragon Touch has a weak chipset, and I can prove this with benchmark tests.

Benchmarks

The first benchmark for Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus is AnTuTu. As you can see, there are almost 99 thousand points in this benchmark. I cannot say that it is a disaster, but I expected more from the tablet in 2021.

In Geekbench 5, Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus has 119 points in single-core test and 569 Points in the multi-core test.

There is also a 512 overall score in 3DMark, as well as FPS is from 1 to 29.

By the way, I noticed that the tablet is called MAX 10 in all benchmarks. I think this is because Max 10 and Max 10 Plus have the same hardware.

However, we have tested the performance of Dragon Touch Max 10, and it had about 88 thousand points in AnTuTu. So, probably, the new tablet has a little better performance.

I also want to play some games on this device.

Games

The first game is Call Of Duty Mobile. This is my favorite mobile game, and I play it every day on my iPhone. I should note right away that the performance on the tablet is worse than on iPhone, and this is predictable.

However, you can still play Call of Duty Mobile on Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus. Asphalt 9 and PUBG Mobile also run on this tablet.

To be honest, I don’t think it is very comfortable to play games on a 10-inch tablet, because it has a big display, and the tablet is quite heavy.

However, if you really want, you can play some of the games on the Dragon Touch tablet.

Camera

As I already said, the tablet has front and rear cameras.

The resolution of the front camera is 5MP, while the rear camera is 8MP.

Battery

The battery of the Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus has a capacity of 5000mAh. The battery life on a single charge is up to 10 hours, depending on usage. Of course, it will be less if you play games.

However, I think we can expect 6-7 hours of battery life in mixed-use – games, movies, and browser.

Speaker

The tablet has a dual speaker on the bottom, and let’s check it out.

So, the maximum volume of the speaker is 78 dB. You know, it is quite loud. However, the quality could be better. This is not a problem of only Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus, but most tablets on the market.

Fortunately, you can use a 3.5mm audio jack or Bluetooth to connect headphones or earbuds.

Conclusion

I think that Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus is mostly for watching videos. It has a really good 10.1-inch Full HD QLED display with high brightness and vivid colors.

However, I don’t really like the performance of this tablet. Yes, you can play most Android games, but it is not very comfortable, and not only because of low performance, but also big screen.

In addition, it is a pity that Dragon Touch Max 10 Plus doesn’t support 4G LTE bands. You can use only Wi-Fi.

From the other side, I think it is a good tablet for children because it has a big and quality display with eye protection.
