On the box, we can see the image of dash cam, as well as the company logo – AZDOME and model name – M550.

Inside the box, there is a greeting card and user manual.

Also, we have a dash cam, cabin camera, rear camera with a long 6 meters cable, magnet mount with built-in GPS, USB Car charger, five cable hiding clips, trim remove tool and sticker.

There is also a 32GB microSD memory card in the package, so you don’t need to buy it additionally. Very nice.

Design

AZDOME M550 dash cam has a very interesting design. As you can see, it has a big 3.19 inch LED display on the front, and five physical buttons on the bottom, such as power, up, OK, down, and mode.

There is also a microphone hole and reset hole on the bottom of dash cam.

On the left side, we can see a rear camera port and microSD card slot.

The mount of dash cam to the windshield has a USB charging port. By the way, there is a picture of GPS on the mount. It means that a GPS module is installed there.

On the back of the dash cam, we can see the camera lens and two speaker grilles.

There is also another port on the right side for the connection cabin camera. I like that you can remove a cabin camera if you don’t need it.

The backup camera doesn’t have any buttons, but I want to mention a very long cable. It is 6 meters long.

By the way, I forgot to tell you about the size of dash cam. It is 140 x 37 x 32 cm. As you can see, the dash cam is pretty compact, and this is very good because it wouldn’t block the view.

The first and one of the main features of the AZDOME M550 dash cam is a triple channel. The viewing angle of the front camera is 170 degrees, while the cabin and rear cameras have a viewing angle of 140 inches.

I said at the beginning of this article that the front camera has 2K resolution. However, you can use just a front camera, or front and rear cameras, and then the resolution of the front camera will be 4K.

When you connect a cabin camera to the dash cam, then the resolution of the front camera drops to 2K or 1440P. Even 2K resolution is excellent. I will show you video samples later.

There are many icons on the screen of dash cam. On the top of the screen, we can see a microSD card, motion detection, GPS indicator, WDR, and microphone. Then, we have the date and time, a Wi-Fi indicator, and a battery indicator.

On the left of the screen, there is remaining recording time, resolution of all cameras, exposure, and live speed.

By the way, using the down button, we can change the cameras from the front, cabin, and rear.

In the settings menu, we have many sections, such as movie, playback, park, date/time, WiFi, watermark, storage, language, system, and info.

In the movie, we can change the resolution of the cameras, loop recording time, rear camera mirror, motion detection on/off, timelapse record, record audio, WDR, frequency, G-sensor, and exposure.

In playback, we can watch normal videos, locked videos, and pictures.

Then, we have a parking mode, but I don’t have a drop wire, so I cannot use this function.

You can also turn on Wi-Fi to connect your smartphone to the dash cam.

AZDOME M550 dash cam supports many languages, such as English, French, Spanish, etc.

In the system, we can find some useful functions, such as fatigue driving reminder, speed unit, beep sound, a screen save time, IR LED, and time zone.
