I continue to test budget LCD projectors and look for the best one. This time I have a projector called Agreago GC777.
The projector costs a modest $109 on Amazon, but it offers very good features such as 1080P native resolution, 10000 Lux brightness, 5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, up to 300 inches screen size.
By the way, it also comes with a 100-inches projection screen in the package. I think it is a nice bonus for a budget projector. OK, let’s do the unboxing and see what else is in the package.

Unboxing
So, the projector comes in a box like this. We can see the brand name Agreago, and model name GC777.
There are also main features of the projector on the front, and some parameters on the side.
Inside the box is a simple 100-inch projection screen. This package includes screen fabric, hooks and double-side adhesive tapes. You can read the instructions on the back of the package on how to install the screen.
Then we have the foam packaging with the projector itself, power cable, HDMI cable, AV cable, kickstand, remote control, user manual and cleaning tool. That’s all!
So, I really like it when projectors come with screens included. Just so you understand, a screen like this costs from 20 dollars on Amazon. Given the price of the projector is only $110, the screen is a very worthy accessory.
Design
The first thing I noticed when I took the Agreago GC777 projector out of the box was its compact size.
It is 205 x 165 x 85mm. The weight is 1070 grams.
Rounded edges make this projector even more compact.
The front looks like glass, but it is a transparent plastic. To be honest, I haven’t seen this before in other projectors, and I don’t quite understand its practical implications. Nevertheless, it looks interesting.
The rest of the projector is made of matte white plastic.
The lens on the front is hidden under a rubber cover. We also see IR receiver and Agreago logo here.
The ports and connectors are on the left side, such as Audio out, AV in, USB and two HDMI ports.
The second IR receiver, speaker and cooling window are on the back.
On the right side, there is only a power connector and another cooling window.
The new Agreago GC777 projector uses manual focus adjustment and keystone correction. There are two wheels on the top panel for that.
You should also pay attention to the ring around the OK button. It has a very nice texture and looks like silver. The other buttons are made of white plastic, such as return, source, menu and power.
However, you will use the remote control more often. It is made of cheap plastic, and it doesn’t even look like it is for this projector. However, this is a standard remote control for most budget projectors.
By the way, the Agreago GC777 projector can be mounted on a tripod, or even on the ceiling. There are mounting holes at the bottom. You can also use the kickstand and put the projector on a table.
So, the projector has a very nice design. It looks more expensive than its price, thanks to details like the transparent plastic on the front, and silver ring of navigation buttons.
Multimedia System
Now, let’s turn on the projector and look at the operating system.
In fact, the Agreago GC777 projector doesn’t have a smart operating system, and it’s just a simple multimedia system. This means you need to connect an external device to watch a video, for example, flash drive, laptop, TV stick, etc.
When you connect a USB flash drive or external hard disk, you can go to Movie, Music, Photo or Text.
If you connect a device via HDMI port, for example, TV Stick or game console, you can select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 signal source.
There is also a Screen Mirroring on the home screen, but we will talk about that a little later.
On the left, we have Settings, Help and AV.
By the way, if you go to Help, you can read some recommendations on how to use the projector. I think the 5th point is very important – due to copyright reasons, some videos or streaming software such as Netflix, Disney+, HULU do not support Screen Mirroring. You need to use HDMI cable to solve the problem.
Settings
OK, now let’s go to the Settings menu.
First, we have Picture settings, such as picture mode, color temperature, aspect ratio, projection direction, and reduce display size.
Sound settings include sound mode, auto volume and Bluetooth. We will be back to Bluetooth very soon.
The projector also has a sleep timer, and general settings, such as OSD language, restore factory default, blending, OSD Duration and software update.
In fact, the settings are standard for a budget projector.
Bluetooth Connection
Now let’s see how to use Bluetooth on the Agreago GC777 projector.
Bluetooth can be used to connect headphones or external speakers.
First, go to the Settings menu, then to the Sound menu, and here you will see Bluetooth Setting.
I will be connecting my AirPods to the projector. The earbuds are connected.
You can also see the Bluetooth icon on the Home screen when the Bluetooth device is connected.
Wi-Fi Connection
Now let’s move on to the Wi-Fi connection.
First, enter the Screen Mirroring from the Home page, and here you will see four Wi-Fi connection methods, such as iOS Cast, Android Cast, Connect with iOS via cellular and iOS Connect by cables.
I will use the first method.
Now, you need to press OK button on the remote control, and you will see the System Setup.
Now go to Wi-Fi, select your Wi-Fi network and enter password from it.
After that, return to the Screen mirroring, take your smartphone, go to Screen Mirroring and select the projector. That’s it!
You know, the Agreago GC777 projector uses 5G Wi-Fi, so the latency is minimal.
Fan Noise
By the way, I think you will be interested to know the noise level of the projector.
It is about 46 dB near projector, and 40 dB at 1 meter.
The built-in fan is not very noisy, and at the same time the projector does not get hot.
Projection Quality
Okay, now let’s talk about projection quality.
I connected my laptop to the projector via HDMI cable.
The distance between the projector and the wall is about 2.5 meters. The screen size is about 80 inches. The manufacturer claims that the screen size can range from 40 to 300 inches, depending on the size of the room.
The native resolution of the Agreago GC777 is 1080P. I think the image is clear for a budget projector. The text reads very well.
Moreover, the projector supports 4K resolution. When you play a video on YouTube, you can select the 4K quality. That’s very good.
The contrast ratio of the new projector is 15000:1. I think the colors are very decent.
Another important parameter for any projector is brightness. The Agreago GC777 has 10000 Lumens. Even while watching movies with dark scenes, the projection can be seen well.
Light On/Off
If desired, the projector can be used even in a lit room. The projection screen is still visible.
However, the Agreago GC777 is designed for use in dark environments, so it is better to turn off the lights and close the curtains during daytime.
Speakers Quality
By the way, have you already evaluated the quality of the built-in speakers? You can listen to some more songs in our video review on YouTube.
Conclusion
So, the Agreago GC777 is another budget projector, but in my opinion, it is a little better than other projectors I have tested before in this price range.
First, it comes with a 100-inch projection screen in the package. That’s a pleasant bonus for a budget projector.
It also has a very nice design with a transparent front panel.
By the way, there are two HDMI ports, so you can connect a TV stick and a game console at the same time.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections are available.
The image quality is also very decent for a budget projector, thanks to Full HD native resolution, and 10000 Lumens brightness.
You know, if I was asked to recommend a $100 projector in 2023, I would say Agreago GC777.
