Last year, Xiaomi released a new flagship robot vacuum cleaner called Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10+. If there is a Plus version, there has to be a basic version, right? In fact, the basic version was only recently released in 2023, a couple of months after the launch of the Plus version.

The main difference between Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10 and X10 Plus is the docking station and mop cleaning.
Both robot vacuum cleaners have a mopping mode, but Xiaomi X10 has a simple cloth on the bottom that you need to wash from time to time, while Xiaomi X10+ comes with dual rotating and pressing pads. Of course, mopping floors will be more efficient with Xiaomi X10+.
In addition, both robot vacuum cleaners have a docking station, but they are also different. The docking station of Xiaomi X10 can automatically empty the dustbin of a robot vacuum cleaner.
The station of Xiaomi X10+ station can not only empty the dustbin, but also wash and dry the mopping pads, as well as refill the water in the robot vacuum cleaner.
So, I would say that Xiaomi X10+ is a fully automatic robot for vacuuming and mopping, while Xiaomi X10 is only good for suction.

However, another difference between these robot vacuum cleaners is the navigation system. You can see that they have the same tower on the top with LDS laser navigation technology. However, Xiaomi X10+ also has an RGB AI camera on the front. The manufacturer says that the camera is used for an accurate objects detection.
It looks like Xiaomi X10 doesn’t have this camera.
Smart App
The smart app is the same for the new Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners.
First, you can see a map of your home in the app, as well as customize the room cleaning order, different cleaning settings and frequency for each room, etc.
Battery
The battery capacity of Xiaomi X10 and Xiaomi X10+ is 5200mAh, but because of the different features, the cleaning time is different.
Xiaomi X10+ has an advanced AI camera and 3D obstacle avoidance sensor, so its cleaning time is about 120 minutes.
Xiaomi X10 comes with only laser navigation, so it can last longer on a single charge – up to 180 minutes.
Conclusion
As you can see, the new Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaners have several significant differences. If you need a floor-washing robot, Xiaomi X10+ should be your choice.
However, if the mopping is not very important to you, Xiaomi X10 is a good option because it has the same suction power and laser navigation as Xiaomi X10+, but even longer battery life.
Xiaomi X10 also has an auto-emptying station, so you don’t have to get your hands dirty.
