JMGO N1 Ultra made a lot of noise because it was one of the most affordable triple color laser projector on the market. It also has a unique gimbal design with auto keystone correction, which makes it easy to set up and use.
However, it is still quite an expensive projector for most people, because the price of the JMGO N1 Ultra is about $1500.
You know, if there is an Ultra model, there must be a basic version of the projector. Some people call it the JMGO N1 Mini because it is much more compact than JMGO N1 Pro and N1 Ultra.
However, JMGO N1 still has a similar design with an integrated gimbal.
Let’s talk about other features of the basic version of the projector.
Price
First, I have to tell you the price of JMGO N1. For now, the projector is only available in China at a price of 3999 yuan. It is about 580 US dollars.
For comparison, the price of JMGO N1 Pro is 6499 yuan or $939, and the JMGO N1 Ultra costs 8999 yuan or $1300.
So, JMGO N1 is more than two times cheaper than JMGO N1 Ultra.
Design
As I already said, the new projector is also much more compact. Its dimensions are 187 x 165 x 191 mm. The weight is 2 kg. You know, the weight of JMGO N1 Ultra is 4.5 kg.
By the way, JMGO N1 is also available in a new white color.
However, the main feature of the JMGO N1 series of projectors is the integrated gimbal. JMGO N1 has 127 degrees of vertical adjustment, but it doesn’t seem to have horizontal adjustment, unlike the Pro and Ultra models.
Anyway, you can project a screen on the ceiling, and it is awesome.
The basic version of the projector has USB 3.0, HDMI 2.1 and 3.5mm audio jack.
JMGO N1 has the same built-in speakers from Dynaudio as JMGO N1 Pro and JMGO N1 Ultra, but they are 5W. This makes sense because the projector is smaller.
By the way, JMGO N1 is still good for outdoor camping, because it comes with a nice protective case.
Specifications
OK, now, let’s talk about specifications of the new projector.
First, the JMGO N1 uses MALC tri-color laser optics, like the Pro and Ultra models. I think JMGO N1 is the most affordable triple color laser projector on the market.
It also has Full HD 1080P native resolution.
As for the brightness, it is 800 CVIA. If you don’t know what CVIA is, it is the Chinese standard for projector brightness.
For comparison, JMGO N1 Pro has 1500 CVIA, and JMGO N1 Ultra has 2200 CVIA brightness.
The new projector also supports HDR10+ and 1600:1 contrast ratio.
I will not go into the details of the operating system, because JMGO N1 runs on Bonfire OS in China, but I think the global version will have Android TV.
Conclusion
As you can see, the basic version of the projector is much cheaper than the Pro and Ultra models, but it also has lower brightness and 1080p resolution instead of 4K.
However, JMGO N1 is still a triple color laser projector with a gimbal design. It is very interesting for the price under $600.
