New day, new article about the projector. You know, I have already tested over 50 different projectors on our channel Tech Brothers.
So, today we will be testing a new projector from FUDONI. I am familiar with this brand because I had another FUDONI projector a couple of months ago.
The new FUDONI V7 has Full HD native resolution, 10000 Lux brightness, up to 300-inch screen size, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.
This projector costs $219 on Amazon, but a $70 off coupon code is available now. If you use it, the final price will be $149, which sounds very appealing.
OK, let’s talk about all the features of FUDONI V7 projector.

Unboxing
By the way, I also have another two projectors from FUDONI. Next week we will publish their comparison.
Now, let’s open the box of FUDONI V7.
First, there is a simple projection screen of 100-inch size in the box.
Then we have a foam package with the projector itself, and accessories such as remote control, power cable, HDMI cable, and AV cable.
You can also read a user manual.
Design
Talking about design, the first thing I noticed was the huge lens on the front. You know, it is really bigger than some other budget projectors.
You can rotate a wheel around the lens to adjust a focus.
There is also FUDONI logo and IR receiver on the front.
The second infrared receiver for remote control is on the back. We can also see a speaker here. By the way, FUDONI V7 is equipped with dual speakers, and the second is located on the left side. We will test built-in speakers quality later in this article.
The new FUDONI projector has many various ports, such as audio out, AV, TF card slot, HDMI, USB and VGA. To be honest, I haven’t seen a VGA port on projectors in a long time. It is really rare now, and if you need a VGA port, you should pay attention to this projector.
The AC connector is on the right side.
On top, there is a keystone correction wheel and control buttons, such as menu, source, return, navigation buttons, OK and power on/off.
The good news is that you can install the projector on a tripod. There is also a kickstand here if the projector is placed on a table, and you need to lift it a bit.
The remote control is very basic, but I am glad it is here because the previous projector I tested didn’t have one.
You know, FUDONI V7 is a compact projector, but it is heavy. The dimensions are 195 x 170 x 85 mm. The weight is 1170 grams.
Okay, I think we have talked about appearance, and now we can turn on the projector and look at the user interface.
User Interface
FUDONI V7 has a multimedia system. It is not an Android OS, so you cannot install applications like YouTube, Netflix, etc. If you want to watch videos on YouTube or other streaming services, you need to connect a TV box, a game console, a laptop or any other device.
From the home page, we can go to the settings, Bluetooth, HDMI, AV, VGA, Help, USB and TF, Scree Mirroring.
Settings
Let’s take a look at the settings. You know, the settings menu of FUDONI V7 is standard for budget LCD projectors.
First, we have picture settings, where we can change a picture mode, color temperature, aspect ratio, noise reduction, and reduce display size.
In the sound menu, there is a sound mode, balance, auto volume, surround sound and Bluetooth. We will talk about Bluetooth connection and a built-in speaker quality a little later.
You can also set a sleep timer on this projector.
In the option menu, we can select language, restore factory default, rotate the projection, OSD Duration and software update.
Wi-Fi and Screen Mirroring
As I already said, FUDONI V7 has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Let’s see how to connect a smartphone to the projector via Wi-Fi.
First, you need to go to the screen-mirroring menu, and then open settings menu.
Now, select Wi-Fi and connect to your home Wi-Fi network.
Return to the previous menu, and go to Android Screen if you have an Android device, and iOS screen if you have an iOS device.
Now, take your smartphone, open the screen-mirroring menu, and select V7 projector. That’s it!
Now you can show photos, watch videos or even play games from your smartphone on the big screen.
Bluetooth Connection
When it comes to the Bluetooth connection, you need to go to Bluetooth on the home page, turn on Bluetooth, and select a device to connect to.
In my case, it is a small Bluetooth speaker.
Sound Quality
In fact, if you use the projector in a small room at home, you don’t need to connect external speakers because the built-in speaker is enough. It has a good volume level.
However, I would recommend using it at about 50% volume, because at higher volumes, the sound from the built-in speaker is growling.
By the way, FUDONI V7 has dual 3W speakers.
Noise Level
Finally, let’s measure the noise level.
You know, FUDONI V7 is an LCD projector, not a laser projector, so you will hear the fan noise anyway.
However, this is not a big problem when you watch a movie or play a game.
The noise level near the projector is 49 dB.
At 1 meter, it is about 38 dB.
Projection Quality
Before we talk about the projection quality, I want to tell you about the screen size.
I placed FUDONI V7 projector about 2 meters away from the wall, and I have a screen size of about 75 inches.
In a user manual, we can see the recommended projection distance for this projector. So, the minimum distance should be 1.1 meters for the 32-inch screen, and the maximum distance can be 9 meters for the 300-inch screen.
FUDONI V7 has Full HD native resolution.
As often happens with budget projectors, the image is in focus in the center, but the edges are blurred. This can be a problem if you plan to use the projector for office or classroom.
By the way, I also found information in the user manual that this projector is not recommended for PowerPoint, excel and word, but it is good for video and movie. I totally agree with that.
When you watch a movie, you don’t notice the blurry edges.
FUDONI V7 has 10000 to 1 contrast ratio and rich colors. As for the brightness, it is 10000 Lumens. It is very nice to watch movies, sports matches, or play games in the dark room.
However, even in a room with a bright lamp like mine, the projection screen is still visible. I think you can watch sports games or cartoons in a bright room.
Conclusion
You know, FUDONI V7 looks like an office projector because it has a discreet professional design, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the office. Unfortunately, the projector has blurry edges, and it is not very convenient to read small text.
However, FUDONI V7 projector is not bad for home theater. It has Full HD native resolution, vibrant colors, and high brightness.
You can also connect a smartphone or external speakers to the projector via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
I haven’t checked it out, but a 300-inch screen sounds impressive.
