QCY HT01C Full REVIEW: What’s Wrong With These TWS Earbuds?

Recently, I received some new wireless earbuds from QCY Company. These are QCY T11S, QCY T13, QCY HT03, and QCY HT01C. We will post articles about each of them on our website – TBPrice.com.

I want to start with QCY HT01C earbuds. They have wireless charging support, an in-ear sensor, active noise cancellation, 30 hours of battery life, and many other features.

The price of these wireless earbuds is only $44.

We will do an unboxing, latency, and microphone tests, as well as talk about the sound quality and battery life of the new TWS earbuds in this article.

Unboxing

As you can see, the inscriptions on the box of these wireless earbuds are in Chinese and English.

The specifications list is on the back of the box. There are also QR codes to download the app on smartphone.

Later in this article, we will talk about the app functions.

Inside the box, we have a charging case with earbuds, USB Type-C cable, silicone eartips, and a user manual.

Design

First, I want to say that QCY HT01C is the upgraded version of QCY HT01 earbuds.  Unfortunately, I don’t have HT01 to compare them with HT01C. However, it seems that these earbuds are very similar. They have the same features and specifications. The only difference that I found is a little longer battery life of the new QCY HT01C.

The charging case of the new wireless earbuds has a rounded shape. You know, it is not very small, but it is comfortable to hold in one hand.

The dimensions of a charging case are 60 by 37 by 25 mm.

There is a company logo at the top, two LED indicators on the front, and USB Type-C charging port on the back.

By the way, QCY HT01C earbuds are available only in this blue color.

The earbuds themselves are also not very compact. They are 22 by 17 by 26 mm. However, the earbuds don’t look bulky in the ears.

As for the comfort, they are good, but if you have used the earbuds with a semi-in-ear design before, then you will be very unaccustomed to them. When you put the earbuds in your ears, you cannot hear anything around you, even without ANC.

Thanks to the silicone eartips and ergonomic design, the earbuds provide high noise isolation.

QCY HT01C earbuds have a big microphone hole at the bottom, charging contacts on the inside, and a multifunction button on the outside. Let’s talk about multifunction buttons and their functions.

Control Functions

In the user manual, we can see that there are many control functions available on the new QCY earbuds. First, you can power on/off the earbuds.

Then, we can answer the phone call with a double press on the multifunction button.

If you want to ignore the phone call, then hold the touch button for about 1.5 seconds.

The triple press on the right earbuds activates the voice assistant.

You can also factory reset the new wireless earbuds. You just need to press and hold the multifunction button for 10 seconds.

Of course, you can play/pause the music with double-press; skip the track forward with hold the right earbuds for one and a half seconds, activate gaming mode with a triple press on the left earbud, and switch between ANC on/off and pass-through modes with the hold on the left earbud.

App

You know, I have scanned the QR code in the user manual and installed the QCY app.

However, when I opened the app, I didn’t find QCY HT01C earbuds in the list. I have tried to connect to HT01, but it didn’t work.

Unfortunately, I was not able to connect the wireless earbuds to the app on my iPhone 12.

Latency Test

QCY HT01C earbuds have gaming mode, so I need to check the latency in games. I have already turned on a gaming mode, so we can play PUBG Mobile.

As you can see, the latency is low. You can comfortably play games with these earbuds.

Microphone Test

As I already said, QCY HT01C has a big microphone hole, but I didn’t find any information about call noise reduction, so I am very interested in microphone quality.

Hey, guys! I’m talking to you through the new QCY HT01C wireless earbuds. Do you hear me well? Actually, I am in my studio now, and it is very quiet here. There is only the noise from my computer, but I don’t think you can hear it.

Sound Quality

QCY HT01C has three modes: ANC on, ANC Off, and pass-through or outdoor mode. In my opinion, there is not much difference between ANC on and off, because the silicone eartips provide very good noise isolation.

However, using a pass-through mode, you can really hear what is going on around you. I think it is an even more useful function on these earbuds than ANC.

As for the sound quality, there is a very good bass, but also a clear sound. You know, I am really surprised by the sound of these budget wireless earbuds.

By the way, QCY HT01C earbuds have in-ear sensors, so they automatically pause the music, when you take them out of your ears. You can just close the sensor on the inside of the earbud with your finger to play the music, and open the sensor to pause it.

Battery

Talking about the battery, the charging case has a very good capacity of 600mAh. You can use it four times to recharge the earbuds.

There is no information about the battery capacity of earbuds, but playtime on a single charge is 6 hours with ANC off, and about 4 and a half hours with ANC on.

In addition, QCY HT01C earbuds support wireless charging.

Conclusion

So, the only problem of QCY HT01C wireless earbuds is that I couldn’t connect them to the app on my smartphone. Perhaps I was doing something wrong. If you have these earbuds, write in the comments below how you connected them to the app.

Otherwise, these are very good TWS earbuds. They have active noise cancellation, but I like outdoor mode even more than ANC.

The sound quality is very good for the budget earbuds.

I also like the in-ear sensor, so the music automatically paused when you take the earbuds out of your ears.

The latency in gaming mode is really low, so you can comfortably play games.
